There Are Perks to Getting Older!!  Really!!
Someone had to remind me, so I'm sharing this with you guys, too. Don't laugh.....it is all true....
  01. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.

02.. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.

03. No one expects you to run--anywhere.

04. People call at 9 pm and ask,"did I wake you?"

05. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.

06. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.

07. Things you buy now won't wear out.

08. You can eat supper at 4 pm.

09. You can live without sex but not your glasses.

10. You get into heated arguments about pension plans.

11. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.

12. You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks into the room.

13. You sing along with elevator music.

14. Your eyes won't get much worse.

15. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.

16. Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.

17. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.

18. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size.

19. You can't remember who sent you this list.

20.And you notice these are all in Big Print for your convenience.

Now, tell every one you can remember right now!

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

You have been chosen to receive the blessing of the Snow Fairy. The Snow Fairy can bring you good fortune for one whole year. May YOU be blessed by his good deeds.....
Thanks for this one, Arija!

After reading through your list, I've decided I'm officially old. Although there is a lot of truth in this list, I still enjoyed the chuckles.
Thanks for the picture -- that is priceless.

These are really fun, Sylvia. Thanks for helping me laugh. (Dad's in the hospital, and it's looking like an long and rough road ahead since his botched surgery. So laughs help.)

I related to a few to many of the items on your list. I am really glad I will not remember this list tomorrow, otherwise I would probably be depressed. Getting older certainly has it's benefits.

Kinda wanting to be done with snow for a while so that snow fairy can flutter east, where I understand our storm is heading.

This post is really hilarious. I love the Snow Fairy and I wish his wings would bring him here (we have snow chaos here now).

All that is only 20 years ahead of me but I can´t wait! I think that couple of those have already appeared...We have a guy with a snow tractor who does the job. I dunno if he is naked.

I love your list and the Snow Fairy is hilarious. If he does driveways maybe he will fly over this way, we have lots of snow to keep him busy.

I just saw a video of a bus sliding on Seattle's icy streets, it must be a little cold over your way. We are in the single digits right now but it's warming up to bring us freezing rain, oh joy. Glad we are not traveling this holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
