Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the post title and sign up to play with us! And the new year is underway! And our weather is back to gray and grumpy, but I dug up a few from the mundane to the breathtaking! Hope you all have a lovely weekend with lots of love and laughter

There are two kinds of light - the glow that illumines, and the glare that obscures.
~James Thurber

There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.
~Edith Wharton

Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.
~Maori Proverb

Sylvia, you always blend your wonderful photos with passages that complete the "big picture." You have a creative knack for this.

Bon weekend,
Genie

A super array of reflections, Sylvie... and it's the Maori quote that wins for me today: Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you. So simple, so true.

I love how the reflection of the yellow vase is in color rather than as a plain old gray shadow.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Absolutely breath-taking photos, Sylvia! Have a terrific weekend. We're off to the Farmers Market. Would you believe it's cold over here? About 65 degrees. Brrrr. :-)

How wonderful to have a good friend who show cases her talent thru your blog, beautiful and artistic header.

Those colored vases are gorgeous. Beautiful lighting too.

Thanks for the holiday wishes, I was sick the whole month of December, and I still have the cough remnants until now.

The last photo shows a sea of Gold. Imagine it is real gold liquid and you can dip in anything you like to coat it with gold.
