Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

As long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him down, so it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might.

Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.  Margaret B. Runbeck

A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.

This is a particularly profound series of quotes, Sylvia. It makes me think of what's happening in Egypt, and perhaps across the Middle East: people of good conscience refusing to remain silent.

Nice pics. I also agree with Francisca about people of good conscience refusing to remain silent.

I love the second shot and quotation, it fits the picture so well.I was just thinking how much I miss the ocean and the beaches in Brazil! :(
I think I woke up today with a nostalgic mood.
I need some vacation, my heart is calling! :)

Beautiful sky pictures again Sylvia! I love the first quote, very inspiring. Don't let people down, let's make everybody happy, as much as we can.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
