Bonjour dear Sylvia!
It's an important day and this post is wonderful to celebrate with beautiful pictures and good energies.
That seagull is adorable!
Lovely shots!

happy memorial day to you, Sylvia

I hope you're enjoying a wonderful Memorial Day holiday. I like the pictures you got at the waterfront, but that sunset is beautiful.
Ah, how fondly I remember Ivar's Acres of Clams! Your views are lovely. By the way, we always seek out the rare gray days here in the desert for photography, since the usual glaring light is much too harsh and flat.
Your photo of the flowers is just lovely--the surrounding grays really make those colors pop.
Yes, I agree with the above comment. That flower pot is simply beautiful, especially since it was such a grey day.
Love the view from your office, Sylvia.
lovely photos, specially the gull, they always have such character!
Glad to see your world contains flowers too now.
On the waterfront even the greyest day can be satisfying.
Lovely shots, also of your view.
Hope you are having a great start to the week . . . Arija
I like that seagull and your wonderful skyview.
Hope you have a great memorial day.
Best wishes from Norway:-)
Great post and quotes!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Wonderful variety of images.
Happy memorial day.
I love the changing sky views from your window, Slyvia! It must be very inspiring. Also, love the gray day by the pier/waterfront. It reminds me of home. Mist lends a sense of mystery to the scene. :)
Wonderful photos Sylvia and such a colourful sky you have outside your window :)
Hope you will have a sunny great week!
I'm sorry you had gray skies for your waterfront time but the shots are as usual lovely.
Where there's food there's seagulls! Love you view out the window Sylvia, and that's a super new header! Enjoy your week.
You do have a great view from your window. Not all was gloom I see, the clouds cleared enough to allow a great sunset.
Sylvia, your day is calm and gentle. Especially I love the first photo. Sea gulls are cute and lovely. This place seems to be the paradise of birds. All are great shots.
Have a wonderful day.
Wonderfully moody and misty shots.
Love the cool, gray feeling with splashes of color. Personally I'd like to skip our hot summers and just have days like this all year long!
Sylvia,
I love the sunset photo; or it could be the sun rise; whichever-it is beautiful!
Did I tell you I think your new header is super!? I hope you are having a wonderful day!
Hi there - good to see that gulls are a world constant - always dropping in to see if they can steal some food!
Have a good week.

Please have a good Tuesday.

I'm beginning to recognize the pattern of the trees on the horizon outside Sam's bedroom, Sylvia. What great skies you see.
And lunch at Ivar's! Oh, I can almost taste the clams!

That's an intense poem at the top of your blog. The sun is our hope--always a new day. But when it's absent, it's very, very absent.
These photos are gorgeous.
Beautiful as always. Just as you are a beautiful human being.

I love the perspective of the gull shot
Just a truly beautiful world, indeed, Sylvia! Thank you once again for sharing your lovely photos!
Another new and lovely header photo. I love the one sitting there.
That is a lovely arrangement of flowering plants.
It is a very nice and varied collection of photos today, Sylvia.
Sorry it was so "gray" when you went down to the waterfront, but you still got some great shots anyway. Cute gull--they aren't known for their shyness! You do seem to be surrounded by a beautiful sky most of the time. Another week--have a nice one. Mickie ;)
How wonderful to see the setting sun from your window!
Even gray skies are beautiful with the scenery in your world, Sylvia. I'm in OR now, and we've been having lovely gray skies, too!
Sorry about your outing, but you made the best of it. I loved flower in the container. My wife, Heather, is the queen of container gardening.
such a pretty sunset!
brilliant captures all!!
I love how the weather added to the atmosphere of the photos. I really like the one of the dock/pier and it is hazy out in the distance! Great shots!
The skies seen out of your window are gorgeous. I'll never get tired of looking at ever-changing skies.
i had dinner at Ivar's, too, when i visited Seattle.:p it's good to see the colors from the window.
Despite the grey weather it still looks beautiful and I love the view from Sam's bedroom, ... sorry your office !
1st photo, Which terrorist put that obstruction at the TARMAC?
Sea breeze, seagulls, a beautiful sky, flowers, what more can you ask to find the beauty.
Nice entry.
Greetings .-
Lovely portfolio of photos, Sylvia. I feel like I've had a walk around your world. Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!
Beautiful sequence of photos. Beautiful frames. My favorite of the first with such elegance and balance on the beam as a gymnast. Saludos.
The flowers are such a lovely bright spot of color!

And today I love the new headerpic. Your friend is great to find so many shapes in the skies.
