Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us! Still settling into the new place, but it is great and I'm so happy to be here. The weather is still junky so I'm still having to depend on older photos! But I promise that as soon as I can find some sunshine and reflections you'll have something new and different to look at! In the meantime here are these reflections from sunnier times -- weather wise that is!!

I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security. Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise what is there to defend?
Robert Redford

Wonderful photos, Kay, and I was blown away by the Robert Redford quote...had not seen it before! I also particularly like the lone duck in the midst of the flamingos...:)

Does the lonely duck think it is a chick of a flamingo?? My favorite is the third photo. Color of red is amazingly beautiful!
The words of Robert Redford sank into my heart.
Sylvia have a nice weekend.

Is that mallard standing on one foot? Looks like he's trying to pretend to be a flamingo :)

A mallard eyeing the flamingos - what a sight!!

I agree with Wil. The Robert Redford quote is exactly right. The other quotations are wonderful, too.
Fabulous photos as always, Sylvia.

The flamingo reflection is really cool, especially with the lone duck. I don't think I've ever see this many flamingo's in one place.

Love them....Love them....Pink Flamingos. They are the greatest birds, and the reflections you captured are so nice. But what about that one little lone duck. He is NOT the ugly duckling, but he appears to be the only one. Great shot.

Goodness! These are amazing. I love the red. So inviting, all. Thanks, Sylvia.
