Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by Klaus and the Sky Watch team of Klaus, Sandy, Wren and me. Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! Click on the address under the post title to be taken to the SWF website where you can sign up.

This post is dedicated to the memory of Klaus Peter.
1960-2011

Rest in Peace. Thank you for the beauty and the joy!
Our constitution protects aliens, drunks and U. S. Senators.  Will Rogers

If you look really closely at this first shot you'll see some very little black dots -- not any junk on my lens, just a lot of crows looking for fun!!

There ought to be one day -- just one -- when there is open season on senators!  Will Rogers

All Congresses and Parliaments have a kindly feeling for idiots, and a compassion for them, on account of personal experience and heredity.

Mark Twain

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery while on a detour.   Author Unknown

I think that Will Rogers was on to something - hah!

Sorry to hear about the passing of Klaus. He made many contributions in his too-short life. Prayers for his friends and families.

Beautiful shots, great quotes--so timely, of course.

Klaus will live on in the memories of so many.

Ahh, you are kind of hard on our lawmakers today Sylvia. They certainly deserve it and worse. Nice to hear though that they hadn't changed much since the days of Will Rogers and Mark Twain.

Love your header and your skies are awesome! Your Twain quotes are on the mark. But remember we do get open season on our congress every other year. A lot of people missed the mark last year.

Fitting quotes by Twain and Rogers. They must've somehow known about today's Congress in advance!

Not only are your photos beautiful this week, your quotes are superb. You have to be the “BESTEST” at coming up with the quotations. I will never be able to come close to you and the ones you post. Like the crows...there were a bunch of them. Today on the way home from school I saw 2 different flocks of birds doing all kinds of contortions in the air. Sadly I had to drive so could not shoot them. genie

Klaus will be greatly missed, Sylvia. Although my contact with him was limited to some back-and-forth commenting, he was always very kind, supportive and helpful. I wish we had been able to meet him, but we haven't been to Florida since I started blogging.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
