Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Joy is not in things; it is in us.   Richard Wagner

Let me never be afraid of endings or beginnings. Teach me to embrace all of life with joy.  Helen Lesman

Your top pic with those wispy clouds is a delight. Just keep taking photos out your window Sylvia and don't worry what Mr Windows has to say!

I like the quote about the friend who knows the song in your heart but wish I knew who made the quote. It seems tho it applies to people in love.

I'm constantly amazed by the beauty of the sunsets in your part of the world. I also like that first picture very much.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
