The Good Things!!

As I wrote last evening, our family is facing another difficult problem as my youngest daughter has been diagnosed with breast cancer and this so soon after the death of  my kids Dad. But we take it one day at a time and are thankful for the blessings we do have.

Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at it destination full of hope.

And she will and our family will!!

Tua figlia è molto bella... i miei pensieri pieni di benedizioni sono con lei.
Capisco molto bene questo momento, ma il Signore è grande... e vi sarà vicino, come lo è stato con me.

Your beautiful girl looks so like you, so young, fit and agile, just blossoming into the fullness of life. I do sincerely pray it can be cured.

My love to you all in this hour of need . . .

I am so sorry to hear that, Sylvia. I hope she will be over this hurdle soon and defeat the disease. I am sure she has great support from her family and friends. You have captured her beauty so well.

I have recently had a friend diagnosed with cancer and you can read my posts on it on my "other" blog:

She is so beautiful, like her Mum! I can only imagine how worried you all must be, she is surrounded by so much love and positive energy, that's got to count for something Sylvia, here's another 'virtual' hug to add to the many flying across the blogsphere.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
