A Bright Day on the Horizon!!!

After a sad and lonely week without my dear Sam Schnauzer, things have taken a turn for the better -- my son, Adam, has found me a new apartment in Portland and I will be moving there in two weeks!!  It's comfortable and roomy and in a great area!! Needless to say, I'm delighted! The move couldn't come at a better time and will help me move on from the sadness of the past few weeks!!!

It will be a busy couple of weeks and I'll probably have to be offline for a day or  two until I get settled, but I did want to share the good news with you today!!!

I also want to thank all of you for your wonderfully kind and thoughtful messages about Sam! They certainly made this very hurtful time more bearable!! I'll still be posting up until moving day and visiting as many of you as I can!! Have a wonderful week!!

Oh, Sylvia, I am so sorry to hear about your beloved Sam. It's not much comfort right now, but he will always live on in your heart.

Sending warm hugs from the desert.

Glad to hear that this is finally happening for you Sylvia - a closing and an opening.

Hope it all goes smoothly for you this time. Warmest wishes. YAM

I am so sorry about Sam. I cannot say that I know how it feels to loose a pet, but we did have to give away "Indy" our son's dog as he would just break up the leash and run in the neighbourhood looking for our son after he left for college.

Congratulations and best wishes. I know you've been wanting to move for a long time. I'm sure it will help your grieving process, too.

Best wishes. Don't overdo, though. I say that 'cause every time we move I kill my back!

It's always sad to be the one left behind. The tears, the memories and the smiles will linger for years to come tho, and that you have to look forward and beyond. I have you in my thoughts. Great news about the new apartment. Roomy is always good! And Sylvia, sorry I'm so late getting back to you. We had a busy weekend, so I wanted to let you know I enjoyed your colored glass shadows. The cobalt blue and ruby red is 'delicious'.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
