To get up each morning with the resolve to be happy. is to set our own conditions to the events of each day. To do this is to condition circumstances instead of being conditioned by them. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has many --not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.

What could be better than a good book? The second shot is slightly intriguing!

Love the glow round your glasses - as if inviting you to don them and begin reading the nearby book! And such a wonderful soft mystery in the second photo Finally, Emerson's quote is a great reminder! I am going to repeat that when I go back to work on Monday!

Wonderful quotes and awesome shadow shots ^_^

Your home is always warm and inviting as the colors of the glass ad shadowy elegance to the room. As for the thatched jungle scene, the shadows are as well hewn as the straw that covers the hut. Mild and wild describe these cool shadows!

Your first picture is filled with different shadows. Super shot. The second one is so interesting. I tried to enlarge it so I could see the writing, but did not have any luck. It reminds me of something I would see at WalkDisney World. genie

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
