Happy Gardening!

The teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with this see-through blouse and no bra. Her grandmother pitched a fit, telling her not to dare go out like that! The teenager tells her "Loosen up Grams. These are modern times. You gotta let your rose buds show!", and out she goes.
The next day the teenager comes downstairs and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on. The teenager wants to die. She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate... The grandmother says, "Loosen up, Sweetie. If you can show off your rose buds, then I can display my hanging baskets/"

Ah, way to go, Grandma!!!  This is from my 92 year old friend! What a gem she is!!

Very funny! And I do like your new heading but I didn't realize you were heading to Mars! That sounds so exciting I think I'll have a Mars bar. Trouble is I don't think I'll be around when you return. That's a heck of along trip! :) Have a great weekend wherever you go!

I wonder what the a comparable joke would sound like for a granddad with five grandchildren ...

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
