Beauty of the Season

I continue to be amazed at the beauty of the season, the incredible plants and trees and the gorgeous colors!!! Having grown up in a very small town in west Texas I had even been amazed at the foliage and trees in Dallas, Texas when I moved there and later attended a university in Denton, Texas which was about 30 miles from Dallas.  Once I had my degree I promised myself that I would never return to that small town and I didn’t!! I’ve lived in the northwest for nearly twenty years now and I do love it – more every year!! So, wanted to share with you some more of the beauty that surrounds me every day!! I hope you enjoy!!

Hope your week is going well!! Enjoy!!

And it certainly does look like you're surrounded with beauty there! I especially love that first picture - it's got a lovely light to it.

First of all, thanks for your comments about the book! I hope you enjoy it!

Secondly, these floral photos are superb...what a great place to live. I know what you mean about west Texas - having driven through it. Dallas isn't bad - we lived in Mesquite about four years. Lois attended North Texas State in the early 70s until we moved to Pennsylvania ... she only had a couple of credits left but in PA they made her complete another whole year! :(

Have a wonderful evening!

We grew up and lived the first few years of our married life in a small small town in Eastern Washington -- very arid, very small. (the Eastern side of Washington is not nearly as beautiful as the Western... in my opinion anyway).

So I know exactly what you mean. (It took us a little longer to make our break than it did you, but as soon as we moved to (western) Oregon we loved it for the same reasons you do.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
