I
continue to be amazed at the beauty of the season, the incredible plants and
trees and the gorgeous colors!!! Having grown up in a very small town in west
Texas I had even been amazed at the foliage and trees in Dallas, Texas when I
moved there and later attended a university in Denton, Texas which was about 30
miles from Dallas. Once I had my degree
I promised myself that I would never return to that small town and I didn’t!! I’ve
lived in the northwest for nearly twenty years now and I do love it – more every
year!! So, wanted to share with you some more of the beauty that surrounds me
every day!! I hope you enjoy!!

oh, that white rose! gorgeous!
Sublime floral images Sylvia, you have indeed settled in a lovely spot.
And it certainly does look like you're surrounded with beauty there! I especially love that first picture - it's got a lovely light to it.
Beautiful blooms, such a lovely colorful post.
First of all, thanks for your comments about the book! I hope you enjoy it!
Secondly, these floral photos are superb...what a great place to live. I know what you mean about west Texas - having driven through it. Dallas isn't bad - we lived in Mesquite about four years. Lois attended North Texas State in the early 70s until we moved to Pennsylvania ... she only had a couple of credits left but in PA they made her complete another whole year! :(
Have a wonderful evening!
You're lucky in your landscape, Sylvia - breathtaking beauty!
Gorgeous captures!!
Lovely lighting on the water in the first photo and the flowers are delightful.
We grew up and lived the first few years of our married life in a small small town in Eastern Washington -- very arid, very small. (the Eastern side of Washington is not nearly as beautiful as the Western... in my opinion anyway).
So I know exactly what you mean. (It took us a little longer to make our break than it did you, but as soon as we moved to (western) Oregon we loved it for the same reasons you do.
