Some Beauty and Some Wisdom for the Day!

How about some wisdom and beauty for the day!!  My 94 year old friend sent these quotes to me last evening and I thought they were worth sharing on this lovely Sunday!!  Hope all of you have had a wonderful weekend filled with all the good things – whatever they are to each of us!!

I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I will know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing. -Agatha Christie

In the long run the pessimist may be proved right, but the optimist has a better time on the trip. -Daniel Reardon

An old belief is like an old shoe. We so value the comfort that we fail to notice the hole in it. -Robert Brandt

Even if happiness forgets you in a little bit, never completely forget about it. -Jacques Prevert

The world is full of people looking for  spectacular happiness while they snub contentment. -Doug Larson

Spectacular flower photo and some great quotes. I hope you are having a good weekend. I noticed on the weather last night that, like you emailed me earlier. Things are going to get really hot up in your area. I hope that you have good AC.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
