Sky Watch!!

Happy Thursday!! And welcome to Sky Watch and an opportunity to see some gorgeous skies from around the world!! Are we lucky or what?? I know I shouldn’t complain, but our skies recently have been SO boring and plain blue – not our usual by any means!! But I’ve chosen some from more exciting “sky times”!!  Hope you enjoy! And wishing all of you a beautiful, wonderful, relaxing, fun weekend!!

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you do the work. ~Author Unknown
*Same is true for a flaming sky like this one!!

The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears. ~John Vance Cheney

The sky was a midnight-blue, like warm, deep, blue water, and the moon seemed to lie on it like a water-lily, floating forward with an invisible current. ~Willa Sibert Cather

I know exactly what you mean about boring blue skies Sylvia, not so blue this weekend though :) you always share such beautiful skies with us, merci beaucoup encore!

That first shot is surreal...almost like someone threw a blanket up into the sky and it stuck! Fantastic!

Wonderful shots, specially the first one is a true beauty. And I don't mind they come from your archive. It's the same story overhere, only clear blue skies and during the night some thunder now and then. I guess I'll have to take it easy in the coming days.
Enjoy your weekend, Sylvia!

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
