Shadow Shot Sunday

Posted by Picasa

It has been so gray here for the past couple of weeks that you couldn't find a shadow with a microscope, so I looked back a bit. My Christmas Cactus was so eager for Christmas that it bloomed in November! And, we actually had some sun in November. If you click on the picture you can better see not just the shadows, but the reflection caught in the window. Enjoy your day! Click on the camera icon and share your shadows!

I am sorry for all of you who are enduring a cold, dreary winter. We have had a week of beautiful days; warm enough that you don't even need a jacket.

Of course, you can return the sympathy in June when it's 107* here.

oops, I'm not sure if the previous comment made it... Nice to get a sunny break like that, I'm sure the little plant enjoyed it as much as you did!

It has been dreary and so cold here, too, Sylvia. It is supposed to warm up some starting tomorrow. I am sick to death of these below zero temperatures and gloomy days.

I love the Christmas cactus all bright and filled with blooms. Hope you get some sun soon.

Sylvia;

I have never had much luck with Christmas cautus....my Mom has one and it keeps blooming and growing like crazy. I asked her what she did to keep it keep it blooming year after year and she says nothing...she waters it and that's it! Yours is just so beautiful I might just try again. Any
tips..?

I don't feel a bit sorry for you! It was 42 degrees one day last week in Newcastle (OZ)

Beautiful! Both the shadows and the blossoms!

I love this shot when I crop it about half way down. The sunlight, the varied, intricate pattern of the shadows and the colors are all beautiful...and interesting.

We are lucky enough to have sun shining through our windows daily. It's a might deceptive. You think it's going to be warm outside and are sort of knocked to your knees with the chill in the air when you step through the door.

Spring is out there...somewhere. Or is it under there???

I'm a bit jealous because I never managed to make MY Christmas cactus bloom, but once I gave it to my SIL it bloomed every year! I shared a shadow shot Sunday at Sacred Ruminations ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
