Good morning Sylvia.

First thanks for the visit and leaving me kind comment.

Second, please let me describe the pictures: All are wispy except the last

#1 looks like a Waterfall Spray

#2 a replica of Angels' wings

#3 gentle fireworks

#4 who can question the soft queenly sunset?

Do you remember that old song "Spirit In The Sky" from the ... maybe late 60's or early 70's? That started playing in my head when I saw your first shot. Surreal!

Those swoopy clouds almost like they're calligraphy...or maybe I'm just getting carried away with the 'painted sky' theme!

We've been seeing some similar stuff down here lately, so for once I'm not terribly jealous. Still, these are nice to see--thanks for the end-of-week gift.

Wow, such a nice view to the sky. I think the wind speed high up must be very high to blow the cloud into that shape, and beautiful sunset.

Love your wispy cirrus clouds, especially the colorful ones. We had those today mixed with cumulus... so cool.

Very lovely, Sylvia. My son was just telling me today about noctilucent clouds--luminous blue-white tendrils seen in the sky just after sunset. They are made of crystals of water ice and are being observed more frequently, with the theory being that the increase might be connected to climate change.

Anyway, your photos reminded me of these clouds. You can see photos of them at http://spaceweather.com/nlcs/gallery2009_page1.htm and another very beautiful photo in the Wikipedia article on these cloud formations at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noctilucent_cloud.
