Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

God respects me when I work; but God loves me when I sing. ~
Rabindranath Tagore

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
- Desiderata

I think it annoys God if you walk by the color purple in a field and don't notice.

I go out of my way to notice purple! Great pics and as usual, great quotes.

Gorgeous photos and inspiring words as well. Really loved the purple flowers, those were lovely.

I am thinking maybe those flowers are lavender plants? I have two small struggling lavendar plants in my garden and I hope that someday they explode and look just like that photo. Beautiful quotes certainly give me reason to pause and reflect. Take care.

Lovely snaps. The line by Sun rays on the water is excellent.

Your photos are lovely. I love the Color Purple quote. Purple has always been my favorite color in flowers. I guess my favorite flower is a purple lilac.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
