Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. ~Thomas Jefferson

You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind. ~Author Unknown

He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying. ~Friedrich Nietzsche

Laughter is the corrective force which prevents us from becoming cranks. ~Henri Bergson

Dogs laugh, but they laugh with their tails. What puts man in a higher state of evolution is that he has got his laugh on the right end. ~Max Eastman

A man isn't poor if he can still laugh. ~Raymond Hitchcock

Glad to visit tonight and read the quotes. I am moved by all the good fortune I've had in my life due to chance? Just moving on down the river!

I think a dog laughs its first chakra open with its tail, whereas people can laugh the other six chakras open as well and in differing ways. Laughing shakes off tension. Therefore, the body has many modes of laughing.

The second photo looks very much like Victoria - we have many places like that. The colours in the second last one with the silhouettes in front are glorious. I like reading your words of wisdom. They are thought provoking.
Have a nice weekend.

Oh Sylvia, I'd love to go walking with you, and see such places as these!

The quotes are hitting a bit close to home today LOL... too much daydreaming lately, and not enough day-doing!

My dog laughs with his mouth, he's evolved.

I laughed at what Eastman had to say!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
