Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

Wisdom is the reward you get for a lifetime of listening when you'd have preferred to talk. ~Doug Larson

Experience is a comb which nature gives us when we are bald. ~Proverb

Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely. ~Auguste Rodin

We have two lives - the one we learn with and the life we live after that. ~Bernard Malamud, The Natural

Everything has been said before, but since nobody listens we have to keep going back and beginning all over again. ~Andre Gide, Le traite du Narcisse, 1891

Beautiful pictures, beautiful quotes...I can't get enough yet they are all intelligibly digestible and esculent.

Darn it! I guess I need to go back since I don't always bother to listen.... ;-(

Beginning again. (sigh)

great thoughts tonight. much of life to appreciate. Regarding your Seattle pix and Pioneer Square.-your favorite spot. How about a glass of wine and a light lunch sometime in June?

We have to keep repeating things, like a teacher, because new people are born every day, who know nothing. We only get new words with new technology, but basically everything that has been said will be said again...and again... and again... to no avail.

Happy Holidays!

I liked the comb you gave me today even though it had nothing to do with baldness.

PhQB that photo of the rose is just beautiful. I so love it and the quote that goes with it is so true. At least I hope it's a rose LOL. All the pictures and quotes are great but that's my favorite :)

I like the quote by Andre Gide - So true. Also, I like the thoughts that accompany each photo. Nice photo of the stones and water. Looks like a creek to me.

Thanks for sharing your lovely views and wonderful quotes. That rose looks like one of my 'Just Joey' blossoms surrounded by more trees than exist where I live.

If you any of your visitors know anything about HP printers, I’m requesting HELP for some technical problems I’m experiencing currently while sharing some Christmas Cheer today at Small Reflections!
Hugs and blessings,

I must admit that there are times I would rather talk than be wise!!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
