Microfiction Monday

Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the icon to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215.

This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.

And here's the picture for this Microfiction Monday!

What do you mean this is a better, easier way to spend time together? You want me
to cuddle a phone? You're both antiques! I'm out of here.

Sylvia;

Two antigues should be able to figure this stuff out!
Love it and again, so glad you joined!

I hear you. I have a dear friend who thinks text is the be all and end all of relationship. It's hard to believe that AND have a pulse.

Wouldn't you really rather sit next to each other and text? I'm an antique too.

Cuddle a phone, lol ? I have already seen people kissing it !
I think I saw you on Tom's blog. Is that possible that you met with him ? It seemed to me that I recognized your face.

When I was stationed in Germany and my husband-to-be was stationed in Alabama, we did some phone cuddling. Not very satisfying, but it was before SKYPE or video-link ups!

You've got to have eye contact for a relationship to work ;-)

No, cuddling with a phone wouldn't be very satisfactory! Though when my husband and I were engaged and apart for a summer, without internet and skype, phones did help a lot.

I am a genuine antique, but that phone is as old as I am. I certainly don't want to cuddle it though. ;-)

nah, hard to imagine in these times :)
this was a riot!

The phone was the only way Amoeba and I had to spend together for a year. I loved to be able to hear his voice, but it wasn't as wonderful as holding his hand.

Oh, that was priceless. I loved the ending.

At least they belong in the same era. :)

These are always so much fun and you put a smile on my face.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
