Some Sad News
I learned this evening that a cousin of mine that I spent every summer with when we were growing up, passed away this evening. She had been battling cancer for the past year and a half. I'm so grateful that I was able to spend time with her this summer when the remaining members of our family got together in Houston for a wonderful visit. She was younger than I am by several years and a very talented musician. What a loss to her family, her husband and two daughters. One can't help but wonder, why?? But then I guess there are many of us who ask that question many times in our lives.

There are many of us Sylvia yes. But that does not make it any easier. I am so glad that you had a chance to spend some time recently with your dear cousin and I know she was glad of it. I am so sorry for your loss.
Who knows why obviously gentle souls like your cousin suffer and leave behind a family. We can't know the answer, of course. Which doesn't mean that we don't feel compelled to ask the question. My condolences.
Please accept my condolences.I'm mightily sorry for your loss.At times like this, you just question life and its worth.. really sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss, Sylvia.
Life is difficult at best and sometimes circumstances are beyond the control of our immune systems...especially if we have been battling something like cancer which takes such a toll.
I am so sorry. It was good you got to spend some time with her.
So sorry to hear about this. My prayers are with you and your cousins family. May her soul rest in peace.
I just lost a long time friend to cancer in January. I am sorry for your loss. I don't know the answer to that huge question. I suppose it is not about the death but about the life lived. Peace.
I am glad you were able to spend some time with her last year. It doesn't make her passing easier, but at least, you were able to express your love for each other.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Sympathies to you and yours, sylvia.
So sorry to hear that Sylvia. Thinking of you.
Sorry to hear of your loss. My brother in law is battling cancer right now too. It's hard when it's someone close to you.
These things challenge our understanding don't they. I'm sorry for your loss and holding you and your friend's family in prayer.
Hugs and blessings,
Oh, such sad news to loose a younger cousin. Death has a way of reminding us of the fragility of life and the impermanence of it all.
My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.
It's too late to ring the bell for your friend, but we can ring for her family and her friends . Including you.
So sorry to hear about your loss.
