We have had what I can only describe as "emotional skies" -- lots of clouds, lots of wind, some rain. A few days ago I saw a sky full of the most unusual clouds, whipped about by strong winds into incredible shapes and patterns. And then there were contrails mixing it up with the clouds. The following ones were taken about mid-afternoon over a period of about a half hour, after which they turned dark, opened up and the rain came again. But they were breathtaking! I've never seen anything quite like them before in spite of always having my head in the clouds.
The last shot was at sunset yesterday after a rainy day.

Whipped clouds is a great description, always interesting to watch the shows going on in our skies and your Anne Frank quote is one of my favorites.

My grandpa used to sit with us after dinner on the deck and look at clouds. Your last photo showed a dragon flying across the sky. Lovely one.

Had wondered why I was not seeing anything at the very top, and just never occurred to me to look further down. They are all treasures Sylvia, simply stunning images.
