The New Motto for 2010!!

Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option."~Authur Unknown

A Poem About Our Girlfriends

Someone will always be prettier.
Someone will always be smarter.
Some of their houses will be bigger.
Some will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.
So let it go, and love you and your circumstances
Think about it!

The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
The most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children.
The richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes~ might be lonely.

So, love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say,
'I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed, to be Disappointed!'
'Winners make things happen~~ Losers let things happen.'

AND! The doormats for the day!

Oh, your post made me laugh today!!! Not the quote at the top, that's very true and should be kept in mind. But the doormats! Hahahahaha!! Love both of them. :)

All too true my dear, except that the negative expressions of 'stressed' and 'depressed' certainly would not creep into any of my prayer of thanks.

Comfy knickers, that's the ticket for me!

Thanks for the smiles. I like the saying that "Winners make things happen -- Losers let things happen". I really like your second doormat!!

This is such an uplifting post, Sylvia! It certainly warmed my heart and made me count my blessings. I'll try to stop wishing for things.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
