That's My World!
That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Click on the icon and share your world with others from all over Our World! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for? You can click on the photos to embiggen and get a better look!
Autumn is slipping quickly into the northwest and while everything hasn't changed, the things that have brought back memories of the beauty we have here in My World at this time of year. I thought today I would share some glimpses of the beauty I have seen since I moved to Seattle. And, of course, my favorite, Mark Twain, always has something worthwhile to think about.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. — Mark Twain
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. — Mark Twain
And remember to get out and visit other worlds, always a great way to learn about all the wonderful things in Our World!
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. — Mark Twain

Hi Sylvia, Seattle is gorgeous through your camera lens! Your montage shows a beautiful balance of nature and civilization. Have a lovely week. :)
Your world really looks pretty. I especially like the crimson trees.
Have a good week.
Your world is a lovely mosaic. I especially like the autumn scenes as they are the sensations of the season.
The tree with the red leaves in your previous post is a beauty I've never seen before, gorgeous photo.
Thanks for your visit and a great day to you too!
Hi Sylvia. This is one of your prettiest collages. I love the photos of autumn, my favorite time of year. We are still mostly green in Ohio, but some are starting to turn.
Your pink trees look like the Japanese cherry in spring. They are so beautiful. All seasons have their own beautiful moments, even with humans when they are in the autumn of their lives.
Your world is a beautiful one & that first Twain quote is the best!
That first quote from Mark Twain is my favorite. I really love that and it is so very true isn't it?
I can see signs of autumn around my neck of the woods too. I'd love to see more of Seattle soon bedecked in glorious fall colors.
Have a lovely week ahead.
Fall is certainly kind to the PNW if these photos are any indication!
Autumn comes slower here, but it'll be along presently I imagine. For now, it's still quite pleasant for late summer, though I'm expecting one final blast from the furnace before we're done for the year.
A lovely mosaic world. Thanks for sharing.
So many great shots. It is difficult to comment on just one of them, for they are all spectacular.
Greetings from Roberto
Fabulous mosaic of very lovely images.
Hi Sylvia :)
molto belle queste immagini del tuo MWt.
Buona serata.
I love the Mark Twain quote about travel! What a wise man he was!
A great post once more Sylvia.
Love your beautiful world and wise quotes.
Have a great day.

You do so well with these. I can just feel the turn of the season. :) Beautiful my friend. Have a wonderful day :)
I like the poem in your earlier post. This and your collage today remind me that life is seasonal for all things. I also enjoy the small quotes you include. They shed light on often forgotten poetic prose and wisdom. I could easily envision “little cat feet” as fog by Sandburg.
Beautiful collage and thoughts
you were quick to visit me today Sylvia. I am glad you enjoy my blog/blogs.
I see those trees are still all red. Your world is autumn colored too. :)
Lovely collage -- and all the Mark Twain quotes made me feel really good about our roadtrip life!! Thanks for the lift!
You pick one of the best places for retirement! The collage of the nature around is simply gorgeous!
Lovely post and photos of Washington state, Sylvia. I was there part of last week and the week before and we love it.
Beautiful photo collage, Sylvia. Mark Twain was absolutely right with that first quote.
Enjoy your week... be well, be happy ;)
How daring and alluring at the same time, to think 20 years ahead ... Wonderful pictures indeed.
Please have a good Tuesday.
daily athens
Beautiful collage, Sylvia. Hard to believe the coast is that far ahead of us in fall colors, but we do have leaves falling.
I love your Mark Twain quotes. The first one illustrates the moral of An Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel: it is better to go than not to go; you will seldom regret going but you may regret not going. And the last quote is SO true. Expanding one's horizons is a sure way to open one's mind.

What a wonderful collage of your beautiful part of the world. Great quotes too.
Great collage - I'm a big fan of Mark Twain - also, thanks for all the work youi do in providing this forum.
A beautiful montage. I really love the sunset photo!
Wonderful shots. Fantastic presentation.
Great selection of photos, Sylvia. One of these days fall will arrive here, but it's still summer, with record high temperatures. We finally had some clouds today, but just dry lightning which sparked fires, no rain. Have a great week!
Hi Sylvia! The quotes you have selected are so apt. I love getting a peek of your world. Thanks.
Wow! one photo is nice than the next
Such a gorgeous place. Thank you for sharing it and making my evening so nice, Sylvia.
The series of photos are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Love your part of the world.
A lovely mosaic of colours and sunsets and magic. And of course, great quotes! Have a lovely week!
beautiful mosaic of a wonderful world!!
. . and as usual, Mark Twain hits the spot.
A wonderful place you have made your own, exciting scenery, proximity to wonderful landscapes to explore and, for that latitude, a benign climate. Thank you for sharing it all with us.
I hope the wonders of fall fall right in your lap.
beautiful series
Have a nice week,
Greetings, Bram
My Word Tuesday post
Seen on My World Tuesday
Lovely collage of your world ! and Mark Twain was certainly right that travelling opens the mind ! It's always interesting to see how other nationalities live in their different countries. Blogging helps too !
beautiful scenery and lovely quote to go with it!!!
Yes, a beautiful season and once one accepts the end of summer, there is much beauty to be seen - I'm still not ready for it, though I love the pic of the Acer Palmatum Garnet in your previous post. I've seen that here before!
Have a great week my friend.
perfect!
You have autumn already? It was 99F in Vegas today - boy, have I had it with the heat already. Supposed to be in the 90's through the weekend.
Lovely photos.
The Mark Twain quotes add to the already beautiful photos!
Seattle is a beautiful city. my visit there was short but sweet, and i'd love to come back one day. your collage is beautiful, and the last Mark Twain quote is my favorite.:p
Thank you for the collage of great photos. It was hard to pick up just one photo and say it's the best. Thank you for sharing
Yeah Autumn is slowly approaching England as well =).. Lovely captures! Have a good day! Hope you could check out my entry too..
I really love Mark Twain. Very nice mosaic of photos, Sylvia. have a good week!
Thanks for a beautiful collage of your world. Thanks, too, for the Mark Twain quotes. I really like his comment on travel.
Sylvia: Those are really neat scenery captures from your world.
Those are beautiful autumn vistas of your PNW world. I wish I could be up there now. Your autumn is so much more pronounced than down here in the SF Bay Area. Enjoy the day and thanks for your comments.
Wonderful mosaic of images, Sylvia!
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect": these words by Mark Twain are so true!
Lovely collage and quotes. I love all the beautiful photos.
