Happy Birthday to Microfiction!!! Thanks for the fun, Susan!!
Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the icon to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215.
This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.
And here's the picture for the day!
She watched the train pulling into the station, picked up her bags.
One last look around. No one. Would he miss her, even know she was gone?

Who needs the bum. She is off to find another.
Sad but true story. Loved your take, tugged at my heart!
A poignant one this time. Excellent.
Poor lady! I wish she had a car. :)
She will have a hard time not taking any more clothes or personal items than she did.
..
One that pulls at the Heart Strings. I hope she finds her Love in the New Town down the line.
ROFL at Peggy's comment! Though I shouldn't laugh, when that's what I did last May...
So was it her husband, or the parish priest she's leaving?
;-)
Sad, but I hope good things are awaiting her. :O)
Well done.
I should probably be trying something like this to cure my writer's block, instead of posting photos.

Okay, I tried it. Yours is much better than mine, Sylvia. Mine is blah, yours contains more drama, suspense, emotion, etc.

Oh, dear. She sounds like such a lonely person. I hope she finds happiness!
This was very poignant and oh so excellent, Sylvia. I'm always amazed at the different ways people take the same photo. This is so much fun!
I'm with Peggy, there are more out there who will appreciate her. Who needs the bum?
Maybe he'll notice that his clothes aren't being washed and the dust is building up on the pianto. It's a shame that a spouse is only missed when (s)he's gone.
Excellent!
Nice bit of suspense in the MM! Here's mine.
Nice one, Sylvia. I wonder why a number of us choose the "leaving the spouse option," when we could have gone for the she's off to visit her sis/play the slots at Atlantic City? Perhaps it's because everything seems so empty in the picture?
Have a great week!
nice! Leaving is always a sad occasion... especially if you're not sure if you will be missed.

Oh I so hope so....Poor thing....Good one my friend. Have a great week ahead :)
I Loved yours Sylvia...
Pensive and sad....G
May she be off for more adventure! No Anna K. moments here!
That's the loneliest and saddest thought that he might not even know she is gone. Well written MFM.

Hi Sylvia,
You and I were thinking along the same, sad lines for this week's picture! Yours running from and mine running to? :) Loved it!
~Jean
Well done. Now that I've read yours, no other ideas flow. So I'll let yours stand alone, like the lady waiting for her train. I hope she's going to see her grandkids.
Great one - I can see her head turning for the last time.
One ward...
Have a great week

yeah that was supposed to be Onward...
Would he even know she's gone? That's sad, but yeah, who needs him anyway? Good for her, leaving. Nice MM!
Aaah, so sad in just 140, well done!
So sad. Your MM has really made me stop and think. Loved it.
Have a great week x
The fact that her departure might be un-noticed is so sad.
I think it's sad that she questions whether he will miss her or even notice. Does she want him to hurt as she clearly is? A very sensitive micro!
Very cool meme!
He'll probably realise she's gone when his dinner isn't on the table on time. :(
Sheesh! If she has to wonder, then he's obviously a putz! Good for her for deciding to start over. :)
I hope he misses her :)
He will miss her when dinner doesn't arrive on the table in a timely manner.
ah, I want to give her a cwtch! poor thing.
