Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by Klaus and the Sky Watch team of Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! Click on the icon and sign up today!  It was like a day in mid summer yesterday, with incredible blue skies, but as I'm sure you've come to know from my Sky Watch posts, blue skies one day surely doesn't guarantee them for tomorrow. But one thing is always guaranteed and that is beauty! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it.  — Mark Twain

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it.
Distance lends enchantment to the view.  — Mark Twain

The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist is that the taxidermist leaves the skin.

It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress.  — Mark Twain

Wonderful shots Sylvia. I love the golden skies and the one that looked to me like the clouds formed a puffy comforter. The quotes are all great. My favorite is "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it."

Hi Sylvia! I have missed you! I truly was so busy this past summer getting my boy settled in and getting everything he needed. I haven't been blog hopping in months and months. I took some beautiful sky shots when I was in Washington this summer too - we don't have many cloudy days here in Jeddah. Hopefully I'll be a more conspicuous presence now in the blogging world!

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
