Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty.  We've had a little of everything weather wise this week -- that's the norm here in the northwest though as I'm sure you've guessed by now.

A part of the sanctuary that was empty of it's usual inhabitants, but I thought it was beautiful anyway!

And the harbor, of course, celebrating the end of the day!

I'm always amazed by the complex  reflections and shadows, patterns and colors that appear even in the most common places!

Sylvia, thanks for visiting today! Your photos are exquisite. I particularly like the last as it is not one that would immediately come to mind in term of reflections but it is and it's beautiful. Have a great weekend and here's hoping for some nice weather in Seattle.

I especially like the watery reflection. There's something special about all those wobbly lines. :)

Beautiful reflections! The first looks like and abstract painting of faces and your sun over the harbour shots are always great.

I swear I can see figures and faces in the first photo, as if they were clouds in a green sky. Beautiful.

Hello Sylvia (Konnichiwa Sylvia-san, to take the opportunity to practise my limited Japanese language)

Glass makes reflections interesting. They come out in such unexpected ways. Love the reflections/lines of the pond - interesting abstract pattern. Beautiful sunset...

Happy weekend, Evelyn

I love the light you’ve captured, a spotlight on the ocean. It is reminiscent of Ansel Adams’ photo of the horse in the meadow in Lone Pine, below Mt. Whitney.

Lovely sunset and reflection pics... it's been wet and slushy here all week, so any sun or sunset will be welcome, even if only available vicariously ;-)

The glass reflection on the counter is wonderful. A reminder about finding beauty in what is considered the mundane. The observant eye...

The sanctuary is beautiful, even without the inhabitants. Your harbor at sunset is absolutely gorgeous.
