Sky Watch Friday!

I'm so sorry to be behind time in visiting your sites.  We lost out internet connection early this morning and I've just now managed to get online! I'll get to as many of you as I can, as quickly as I can. Thanks!!
Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by Klaus and the Sky Watch team of Klaus, Sandy, Wren and me. Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! Click on the post title to be taken to the SWF website where you can sign up. I find it hard to believe that it is December already!! But then time does fly -- whether you're having fun or not!! And the weather has been anything but fun! But I can always manage to catch a few moments of gorgeous skies regardless and I do try not to miss them! I couldn't resist sharing one more shot of the our full moon!! Hope each of you has a beautiful weekend -- weather wise, other wise or whatever it takes!!

Wow, Sylvia. These images are beautiful and I love the one of the full moon. Of course, I hang on every word of Mark Twain. Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings from Jo

Beautiful skies you are seeing there, sylvia. Always a pleasure to read Mark Twain's wisdom too.

Great views of the sky and more of Twain's inexhaustible wisdom. I really liked the quote about reading or not reading newspapers.

Sylvia, love the photos and the quotes. I just heard that the University of California Press has published the first volume of Mark Twain's autobiography--one that he had asked not be published until 100 years after his death in 1910. Should be some pretty amazing reading, since he really didn't hold back, knowing it would be such a long time before it was read.

I'm not sure which I like most -- your gorgeous photos or Mark Twain's quotes. I'm glad I can enjoy both.

Beautiful pictures-- incredible if they're sort of current. You really managed to get most of those few minutes a day when PNW skies are beautiful! That full moon through the bare branches is incredible -- I could hardly tear my eyes away!

I never cease to be amazed -- and really appreciate -- the way you take time to visit all of the SWF entries.

So beautiful Sylvia! Its so lovely to see some sunny northwest skies as we are blanketed with our winter grey blanket of clouds right now. It was nice to see a little sun peek out earlier today, but it didn't last long! I Hope you are having a beautiful holiday season!

What a lovely collection of sky shots! Not always is the instantly most spectacular the shot that leaves the most lasting impression.

The last shot certainly has the WOW factor, but the one I would like to see enlarged all over my wall, that I could enjoy for years to come, is the middle one with the layered clouds. It makes me smile and fills my heart with peace.

I do like SkyWatch!

My favorite pic is the second - the lines in the sky and water have a symmetry and synergy. But the last quote hit me right in the gut: I have been let down so many times, I am still looking for a friend worth dying for... have a blessed weekend!

Like you, Sylvia, I am shocked at the arrival of December. Where did this year go? Fortunately, even while working hard, I love what I do and know how to have fun besides. YOU know how to capture amazing skies... and I am blessed to have you share them with me. These are all wonderful. My favorite is the last one. Hope you're well and finding joy in the weekend, even if it gray outside.
