Happy Mother's Day!

God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.
Rudyard Kipling

I am sure that if the mothers of various nations could meet, there would be no more wars.
E. M. Forster

I can't think why mothers love them. All babies do is leak at both ends.

Hello again. I've just been reading your older posts about your move and the view from your windows. I've been away for a while and missed all the excitement! I'm so glad you're settling into your new space and that you like it so well! Welcome home!! :))

Thank you, Sylvia, for this beautiful tribute to all the mothers of any generations. Being a mother is one of the most creative and fulfilling jobs, though challenging at times, I've ever done, I think.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
