Shadow Shot Sunday!

Get out the magnifying glass, get into your best sleuthing clothes and start prowling your environment looking for those wonderful, but sometimes elusive shadows. This fun and challenging meme is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! Click on the link under the blog title and sign up to play!!
Today's pictures are a little different from my usual shadow shots, but we had a day of sun!! And several times a week here at my new home, there is a van that takes groups of us to various places around Seattle. Sometimes it's just to a favorite store to do some shopping, sometimes to something scenic, but always something different. Yesterday we went to Bellevue, WA which is about a thirty minute drive from the complex. It was warm, it was sunny and while most of the group headed for the shopping center, I headed across the street to a lovely park and here are some of the shadow shots I found there in this very lovely place! Hope you enjoy them!
We do not see nature with our eyes, but with our understandings and our hearts.

You found some nice shadows when you were out and about, Sylvia. Glad to read you got some sunshine.

And I loved your poem, and the way that you presented it.

Have a great weekend!

We're so enjoying your shadows this morning Sylvia! That last one is beckoning for us to stroll along it's path! Just to let you know we live 30 minutes away from Bellevue...OH! We'll have to take some pictures the next time we go :) Enjoy your weekend Sylvia!

I'll bet you had a lovely time strolling through the beautiful park. Sometimes it is so nice just to be in a serene spot and enjoy your own company. Sounds like you like your "new home" and are keeping very busy. Have a lovely weekend. Mickie :)

I especially love the last photo of the tree lined street and their cast shadows on the sidewalk. Somehow that has always felt soothing to me:D Thanks for sharing.

I am so pleased that you like your new home and that you are taking advantage of some of the services there! I'm also glad the sun has been out so you could capture these neat shadow shots.

Another nice set of photos Sylvia. I'm with those who like the last one best, and I REALLY like the quote from Galileo!

With outdoor shadows under the un-Seattle like sun, the shopping can wait! The urban landscape here is like a tree-lined oasis, full of trees and an unsuspecting crow. Shadows as landscape is wonderful!

Wow, your new home is just perfect! No worries for car maintenance, you have someone to drive you around.

Love to see the greenery and sunshine!

I'm happy that you're happy in your new home. it seems a wonderful spot for you. your spring there is looking similar in progress to ours here, it's coming along slowly. I think that's alright, because it seems to last longer this way. beautiful shadow shots Sylvia. have a wonderful weekend!

Nice shots, Sylvia. I like the row of trees in the last post the best. Well, maybe also the path in the top photo . . .

I would have joined you in soaking up the sun. Shopping centers holds no allure for me, if I can't find it on the internet I don't need it.

You made the most of your outing. Give me a camera and a park any day over a mall. It looks like your area is a few weeks behind us. Our trees our pretty much fully leafed out by now.

A shadow’s a wonderful thing;
O listen! Can you hear it sing?
It tells of a time

What a lovely park for walking, observing people, and taking photos... The perfectly manicured lawn creates the perfect canvas for shadows. They are all wonderful but the first shot with the lace shadows created from the not-yet-leaved limbs is my favorite! Have a great weekend!

That is indeed a beautiful park, Sylvia - nice shots. And wonderful sunshine, something we've only had a couple of days of in the last week! Hopefully we'll bring some Colorado sunshine to Seattle when we're there.

You have given us such a nice series of nature filled shots this week. They make me want to get out of the house and go hiking. The trees linking the walkways makes them so inviting. Lovely captures.

Like the pattern made on the walkway by the shadow from the trees.

Bellevue is one of my favorite places. We usually stay there when we take our pooches with us while visiting our kiddo in Seattle. Love your park pics. Have a great weekend.

Good job finding a litter free street for that last shot. You must not been visiting Portland. Oh was that mean?
