Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by  the Sky Watch team of  Sandy, Wren and me. And this week as every week, we remember Klaus and know that he joins us in spirit! Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! Click on the address under the post title to be taken to the SWF website where you can sign up.

I have been so enraptured with my view of the western skies from my desk and the 364 degree views from our roof garden, that I just recently discovered that I only had to walk a few steps from my front door to the deck here on the fifth floor to be able to see some breathtaking sunrises as well!! Earlier this week I began and ended my day gloriously!! Doesn't get any better! Hope you enjoy!!

And this was how it began!
How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains! John Muir
And these are how it ended! What a day it was!
Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.
Robert Louis Stevenson

Beautiful colors in your sky. Really enjoy the idea that with a creative eye, or appreciation for noting the beauty in our views, one does not have to travel far to have a magical view.

Somehow I think you will be wandering out there more often. What a spectacular sunrise! That last shot is like a wild fire. Absolutely amazing captures.

Looks like you are still discovering nice things about your new habitat and in winter you won't have to worry about heating either.

Enjoy the warm days that are left.

Celebrating my departure? *lol* Just kidding! My aunt is living in Ocean City, Maryland and had to evacuate. It was a relief when she called the other day to tell she was back, and every went well ... I don't know were you live or if you were affected by the storm. But I think you all are happy it's over.

You capures this week are awsome ... so beautiful colors. Wish you a peaceful weekend (with no more Irene)

Greetings Irene

So good to be back on online. Bud made it back safely - missed the earthquake at home but got in in time for Irene. We lost 3 days and nights from our vacation at VA Beach but that it OK. Have been unable to use the computer before I ripped off cartilage from my right knee; it hurt to sit at a computer desk or hold it in my lap....a real pain in the knee:-) It is improving with LOTS of physical therapy. The beach has been a bit yucky at times, but I have been shooting and today posted my first shot in days. Yours are so beautiful as always....and your quotes so appealing. Love the new banner. Your blog always brightens my days and inspires me to try harder. Genie
