Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us!

Due to my bout with sun poison this past week, I haven't been able to get out with the camera, but I've prowled through files and found some reflections to share with you today. Hope all of you  have survived the unbelievable weather we've experienced this summer and that you're ready for a great Labor Day weekend -- here in the states and a terrific weekend wherever you are!!

Beautiful reflections, as always Sylvia. Despite regular afternoon thunderstorms to cool things off, we've had the hottest summer ever in my town. I hope you feel better soon!

Hope you're feeling better soon. I know how sick that can make a person.

I'd say your files served you well--lovely photos. That sailboat on the lake looks so inviting. Hope you are feeling better. It has been a LONG, HOT summer. We just hit our 52 day of 100+ temperatures--broke the 70 year old record from back in the 30's. Take care and stay cool. Have a relaxing weekend. Mickie :)

Sun poison, oh yuck! I used to get that, but not so much now (good thing, living in the tropics). Hope it's all over now... My favorite today is the lacy light and shadow... well seen, Sylvia. And I'm glad you can celebrate the departure of Irene.

The lacy scrollwork is my favorite too! Love those archives!

I always try to read your posts when I get on the computer after dinner -- the words, pictures and music are so peaceful.

Your friend in Mumbai has outdone herself again on this header. Of course with the birds, it would be my favorite!

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
