Shopping With the Sisters!!

TWO NUNS WERE SHOPPING AT A 7-11 STORE. AS THEY PASSED BY THE BEER    COOLER, ONE NUN SAID TO THE OTHER, "WOULDN'T A NICE COOL BEER OR TWO TASTE    WONDERFUL ON A HOT SUMMER EVENING?"

THE SECOND NUN ANSWERED, "INDEED IT WOULD, SISTER, BUT I WOULD NOT    FEEL COMFORTABLE BUYING BEER, SINCE I AM CERTAIN IT WOULD CAUSE A SCENE AT THE    CHECK-OUT STAND.

"I CAN HANDLE THAT WITHOUT A PROBLEM, THE OTHER NUN REPLIED, AND SHE    PICKED UP A SIX-PACK AND HEADED FOR THE CHECK-OUT.  THE CASHIER HAD A    SURPRISED LOOK ON HIS FACE WHEN THE TWO NUNS ARRIVED WITH A SIX-PACK OF    BEER.

"WE USE BEER FOR WASHING OUR HAIR." THE NUN SAID, "BACK AT OUR    NUNNERY, WE CALL IT CATHOLIC SHAMPOO.

WITHOUT BLINKING AN EYE, THE CASHIER REACHED UNDER THE COUNTER, PULLED    OUT A PACKAGE OF PRETZEL STICKS, AND PLACED THEM IN THE BAG WITH THE    BEER.

HE THEN LOOKED THE NUN STRAIGHT IN THE EYE, SMILED, AND SAID:     "THE CURLERS ARE ON THE HOUSE."

Hi Sylvia, That's a good one! Ha!

I hope you're settling in well and not missing your old home in Washington too much.

Enjoy the start of summer!

I don't know many Nuns as I am not Catholic ... but I would think a good cold beer would suit them well after a long day of dealing with everyone elses issues. I say Hear, Hear ... a toast to whatever gives you relief! Another great chuckle from you Sylvia ... sure am glad to have you back ...

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
