50th Wedding Anniversary
A couple were celebrating 50 years together..
Their three children, all very successful, agreed to a Sunday dinner intheir honor.
"Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad," gushed son number one.'Sorry I'm running late. I had an emergency at the hospital with apatient, you know how it is, and I didn't have time to get you a gift."
"Not to worry," said the father. "The important thing is thatwe're all together today."
Son number two arrived and announced, "You and Mom look great, Dad.I just flew in from Los Angeles between depositions and didn't havetime to shop for you."
"It's nothing," said the father. "We're glad you were able to come."
Just then the daughter arrived. "Hello and happy anniversary!I'm sorry, but my boss is sending me out of town and I was reallybusy packing so I didn't have time to get you anything..."
After they had finished dessert, the father said, "There'ssomething your mother and I have wanted to tell you for a long time. Yousee, we were very poor. Despite this, we were able to send each of youto college.Throughout the years your mother and I knew that we loved eachother very much, but we just never found the time to get married."
The three children gasped and all said, "You mean we're bastards?"
"Yep," said the father. "And cheap ones too."

Blonde Humor for the Day
"Hi Mom, How are you?"
"Hi Sally, where are you? I thought you were with your father at the Ace Hardware"
"Yeah we were, but I got arrested, and they've let me make one phone call"
"What happened?"
"Oh, I punched this African-American woman in the head."
"What on earth?! Why did you do that?!"
"Well it wasn't my fault. Dad told me to find a Black & Decker."
Smile!
Its infectious..

That's My World!

| That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Join us and share your world with others from all over Our World! Just click on the post title, read the rules, sign up and play with us! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for? As some of you know, I'm not a shopper, but I always hope that the trips each week will provide some photo ops -- even at malls and here in Seattle I haven't been disappointed. This past week we went to an outlet mall that shares an area with one of the many casinos here. I spent about fifteen minutes in the outlet mall -- which was the biggest I've even seen!!! Then I headed outside to take a look at the surrounding area and I wasn't disappointed! Can you believe that even a McDonalds had a lovely outside eating area with a fountain!!! Ah, Seattle!! And the last couple of shots today were taken at home as I get more settled in. Hope you all have a wonderful week filled with love and laughter -- and, yes, I do know that it is getting harder to find a great deal to laugh about, but it's always worth the effort! Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward. Victor Kiam |

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
