Sky Watch Friday

Join us and show your skies today. Sky Watch is hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy and Louise and I want to thank them for their time and efforts so that we can each enjoy skies from all over the world. And remember March 21st is Harmony Day in Australia -- wouldn't it be great if it could be Harmony Day all over the world! Everyone Belongs!

I don't have anything to equal the spectacular storm cloud photos of last week, but our skies here in Seattle are always beautiful and sometimes different!

X marks the spot! I walked out of the house and there were vapor trails criscrossing across the sky. Click on them to enlarge and see more detail in the texture.

This one looked as though it was pouring some kind of grainy solution into the cloud below! Oh, I know! I am all too imaginative! But look closely!

And then toward the end of the day the soft, lovely deep shades. I do love our skies!

Sometimes the sky can be so busy with all those trails! You've got the makings of a nice plaid - minus the colors!

Your photos make me want to do the same. I'll take a few of the clouds above our house today. Mahalo, Sylvia.

Again...another wonderful glimpse of your world! Love the vapor trails , and the last one was perfect!
Sylvia, do you have to use a specific setting to get the pictures to emlarge with a click....?I'm still very basic in the photo end of blogging!

Great shots Sylvia! I love the cloud pics. Enjoy the rest of your week as well as your weekend!

No, Peggy, no specific settings, just point to the photo with your mouse and do a regular click, doesn't have to be a right click. I just tried it on the photo with my mouse to be sure and it immediately enlarges it.

Beautiful skies and I love the way the vapor trails and telephone lines cross the sky.

I do love the skies, too! Your pictures are so well done! It's amazing how the sky is so different at different times of the day.

These are all spectacualr, but the top two blow me away! I love the way the flare from the sun mirrors the intersection of the contrails. That's just awesome!

I love the patterns here. What fun. And the fluffy clouds are perfect, too.

I love it when the contrails make an x! Awesome cumulus tower also. Great shots!

All wonderful photos. I like the middle two the best. (That "grainy stuff" pouring down in quite interesting!)

Thanks for your very kind comment on my blog!

I love all the lines in the top shot!!

The jet trails and electric lines work so well together in the first one, but I do love your clouds, Sylvia, I always do. The colours you get in the evening are so lovely.

Contrails can add some interesting features to the sky.
All I've seen today is GRAY.

Wonderful! It looks like the planes were trying to decorate your sky.

Sylvia: What neat clouds you have captured, I'm glad you shared all these neat shots.

Baruch said...

Oh my, what busy skies you have with all those vapor trails!

PJ said...

You difinitely had a busy sky that day. A lot of people think some of these contrails are not what they appear, that they're dangerous. I don't know about that but some of the blogging about it makes you wonder...Happy SWF!

All of those contrails are neat. I enjoyed the pics!

Maybe that one cloud is sending a special delivery package to the other cloud. ? :)

x marks the spot right...

Lovely clouds and all those lines.

Tic tac toe anyone!
Spectacular images - each and every one.
Loved the crispness of the contrails and that last image is beautiful.

all such lovely captures!!

The last one was the one for me. You found so many things that the clouds were capable to do.

Nice set of sky shots!

I like these geometric crosses against your blu sky.
And I'm a little bit too much imaginative too when watching at the sky. We both have our head in the clouds. I always find a new story relating to a different sky.

your blog is inspirational. happy swf sylvia.

The clouds and contrails really do match up great in your photos! And a touching post on the illegal adoptions.
