Beautiful shadows, Sylvia.

The pear tree I planted when I first moved to NJ was higher than the house. A big storm a while back did it in. Half of it is gone now. Your lovely little pear tree makes a lovely shadow.

Neat shadows - love the pear tree! I remember learning in an Art History class about how revolutionary the Impressionists painters were to put so many colors into the shawdows they painted. Most people, my self included at the time, would have automatically made a shadow black or gray, but they are really just as colouful as the subjects their 'shadowing' if we simply retrain our eyes.

Isn't it glorious to be capable of finding the beauty in such a simple thing as a shadow...finally aware!

Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

we have a old, old pear tree...i think it had one pear on it last year...it was my grandmother's tree...i believe the pear was her way of letting us know her spirit is still here.

Happy SSS.

Love your spring themed shadows! The children are very lucky to have such a lovely play area at their school. Your colour shadow is cool. I never manage to capture any coloured shadows. I'll keep on trying though! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
