ABC Wednesday -- K!

It's ABC Wednesday! Time to check your alphabet for K words! ABC Wednesday is hosted each week by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt! Click on her name to sign in and join the fun!

K is a very personal letter for me and here are the reasons why.

K is for my daughter Kerith!

And K is for the Kirkwood Kids!

And K is for Kinfolks

And the next time the Kirkwood Kids and Kinfolk get together I think it would be fun to sail somewhere lovely on a Ketch!

Kinship is an excellent topic. I'm with you there.

If you bring Kerith along, I'm sure you wont be lonely in the Ketch, which was also very lovely.

To use the K's - i would add kith and kin. I get linked to alphabet 'S'. My pet name is Subba, my wife Seems, my son Shashank and my daughter Shraddha.

Lovely shots Sylvia. Kerith is a beautiful girl - obviously takes after her mother!
Kinfolk - so important and so easily taken for granted.

k is an unusual letter, my last name used to K until I divorced mr. K. Does that count? LOL!

Beautiful pictures. Both of my daughters-in-law and all four grandchildren names start with K. Guess they fit for ABC Wednesday.

Christella D. Moody said...

I meant my four granddaughters in the above post with names beginning with K. My grandson has the same initials as the males in the family and me, CDM.

Lovely post, Sylvia. I enjoyed seeing all your family, too. Having just read your next post, I think the first proverb really fits--having a family to share the good times with as well as the sad makes life so much richer.

By the way, I almost used that Mark Twain quote today, too:)

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
