Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go.

Character may be manifested in the great moments, but it is made in the small ones.
Phillips Brooks

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
Will Rogers

Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.

...and sometimes giving up means that you are just plain lazy!:-)

Am I becoming a cynic again? That is a refreshing thought that I have been something else than a cynic between last week and today!

I think the quote from Aristotle is so true. I have felt the strands.

If only you could schedule those 200 days of rain! But it does keep those streams going. That is a beautiful sunset among you pictures.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
