Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

Into the house where joy lives, happiness will gladly come. - Japanese Proverb

A smile is a light in the window of the soul indicating that the heart is at home.

There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward. - Kahlil Gibran

The river of life !

Nurtured
by the same
rich and flowing
aqua earth,
some
reach
levels of prosperity,
clothed
in crisp heaps
and covers of
green,
while some,
reedlike,
in woody courage,
face adversity,
sometimes
cracking under it,
occasionally,
bringing forth
a green shoot.....

If they only looked down,
into
the rich and
gently flowing,
River of Life,
they would see
that
their lives
are
undeniably
entwined
as they
go forth
into the future....

The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart. - Helen Keller

A man is not old until regrets start taking place of dreams. - Anonymous

Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.

I love them all, but the first one looks like Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Bill, the first picture was taken at the harbor here in Seattle and those are the Cascade Mountains in the background. I spend lots of time there! Have a great weekend and thanks for your visit!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
