Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us!  We're still playing hide and seek with the sun these days and I am still looking forward to having something to chase besides old photos soon!!!

Beautiful! I particularly like the second one.

Terrific shots. Of course I love the duck one! The last one really sets a mood and goes with the quote excellently. Have a great weekend.

The reflection of the sun is stunning, but the last one is really awsome : I just love this red shadow on the white web... The composition, with the glasses is really nice too.

La première a ma préférence, comme un Etang au Nymphéas de Monnet !

The top one is like a painting, the middle one is stunning and I love the lighting and mood in the bottom photo. Bravo!

I like the big ship about the cut through the reflection. We had some rain and we're expecting mega-windy conditions. Hopefully we will get some sun soon, I need to take some photos!

Excellent reflections. The greens on the water seem an impressionist painting. In the second highlights romantically silhouetted trees. In the third beautiful shades of red on the glasses.

I sure am glad that you have these wonderful 'old' photos to go through and to share with us. I really like the red reflection on the table with the glasses. That is truly a work of art.

Hi Sylvia, I get so inspired by your photos! All of them are so beautiful. Love the duck...and the last photo makes one think about the possibilities of reflections without water!

namaki said...

Your first picture could be a painting by Monet; the impressionist painter ! It's beautiful !

Such pretty reflections! Especially love the glow of light on the water in the second photo!

Great photos. I like the one with the red glass the bestest. I love the quote about old age, dreams, and regrets. I hope that I never grow old.

I sing because it's the stuff of life. And a wonderful pond with duck and reflections to go with a good quote. Enjoy your weekend, Sylvia!

Dear Sylvia!
Please don't apologize for not visiting my blog, for that is not true. You are always there encouraging us all to continue blogging. You have always a kind word for everybody.
New Zealand is daily in my thoughts I hope that our blogging friend and her family is safe. My daughter lives in Australia and there they have to face all kind of other natural disasters like the recent flood and the cyclones. The weather all over the whole world is unbalanced.

Like all of your reflections. The first is so impressionistic. Nice work.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
