One of the really lovely places to visit in Oregon is the Canby Dahlia Festival. Acres of gorgeous Dahlias, all different kinds, sizes, colors. It's breathtaking! Here are just a few examples. Hope you enjoy! Guess you can tell I'm already tired of cold weather!

Wow, lovely!
Dahlias are some of my favourites; they're so nice to bring indoors too. I've never seen so many as this, however---thank you for posting such wonderful photos!
a return to summer, how delightful to see flowers in bloom. although we do have a few hardy blooms outside in our anniversary garden.
Lovely festive flowery world, Sylvia! My World is festive for Christmas! :)

I'm definitely looking forward to the first day of spring after seeing these lovely photos. LOL
That's an amazing dahlia in the first shot, Sylvia.
Oh so beautiful. I've been to the iris farm but I never heard of this until now. Very nice.

So very lovely! You have some wonderful photos, Sylvia, and have been some wonderful places to tell us about. Thank you so much.
Beautiful Flowers!
These are delightful! Love the multi-colored photos especially. Such rhythm.
Very beautiful and so many! I love dahlias, but we can't have them in the garden now.
Beautiful photos as always, Sylvia. Love the red ones.
Wow I just love all the colourful fields. Thanks for sharing.
I'm assuming they were flowers from earlier in the summer, right? But whichever season they were taken, it is a prolific display of flowers in bloom.
I'm a week behind, but unlike the non-virtual variety, the flowers here are still lovely.
Lovely dahlia photos. Seems everyone is already tired of this winter. I sure am.
There beautiful for sure i would love to come see it when they have the festival, can you send me a link to it?
I will see If I can a link and will post it if I can, Lilli. Thanks for stopping by.
One of my favorite memories is walking through Dahlia fields in Oregon. Many of the flowers were taller than I am. They were every color imaginable. Absolutely breathtaking. I took a HUGE bouquet back to the resort with us to cheer me the entire week. I bought one that was the size of a dinner plate with about four different colors in it.
Man! I'm loving reliving this memory. Thanks for bringing it to mind.
How do they do those ginormous fields, anyway. Do they have to dig up each individual bulb to replant the next year... or can they leave them in the ground in Oregon? We have to dig them up here and store them in Pete in a cool dry spot or over the winter.
So beautiful - I can remember it, summer...:)
You brought some colours to my at the moment very gray and wintery world, thanks
This time of year becomes so brown and dull in a lot of areas. Nice to see some summer photo's.
what a beautiful post...i liked enlarging them and enjoying the flowers even more.
thanks for sharing with us.
Beautiful Sylvia and reminds me of the Garden of the Rose back in England.
Two of my favorite flowers. I'll have to put this place on my bucket list!
So that's what those are... I've seen them before but never knew their given name. Very striking!
