Evening Words, Wisdom and Beauty

We've had sun, clouds and everything in between today, but the colors up and down the streets are multiplying every day and it's once more a joy to walk outside. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Faith is a knowledge within the heart, beyond the reach of proof.
Kahlil Gibran

Faith is an oasis in the heart which will never be reached by the caravan of thinking.
Kahlil Gibran

Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf.
Rabindranath Tagore

Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish it's source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.
Anais Nin

as always, thanks for sharing these quotes. ;)
Should I interpret Anais Nin's words as Love dies because we fail it

kRiZ -- yes, I guess that I do feel, that is how to interpret Anais Nin's words.

Thinking often tends to contract the mind to a narrow point of view. There is nothing wrong with locking into a point in space and time. But we tend to hold onto these narrow thoughts and we actually forget what its like to let go. We think that if we let go we will die. But we just let go and open up to more of everything else.

By focusing on deadlines and strict routines, we limit ourselves and our perceptions to a defined existance filled with repeating cycles. We become lost in time. We can only find something new and original outside of time.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
