Evening Words, Wisdom and Beauty

Love is to the heart what the summer is to the farmer's year - it brings to harvest all the loveliest flowers of the soul. ~Author Unknown

If a June night could talk, it would probably boast it invented romance

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. ~James Dent

Yeah... after spending nearly TWO HOURS on a riding mower Tuesday, I can relate to that sentiment! But, the lawns sure do look mighty pretty, now.

Beautiful shots! Great thoughts!

I especially love the photo of the blossoms weighing down that fence.

I agree with Kay...The blossoms spilling over from the pergola are fantastic. Great shots :)

I do like the vine (what is it, I wonder) and the ground cover (and what is that!). Am always on the look out for ideas for my fantasy garden.... Great photos.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
