Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
Kahlil Gibran

Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother.
Kahlil Gibran

Your friend is your needs answered.
Kahlil Gibran

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.
Kahlil Gibran

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.

I really enjoyed both the photos and the quotes. I like the one about doubt, too. Your photos are always awesome. They make you want to smell the wildflowers.

Excellent post with lovely photographs. And neat quotes from Kahlil Gibran. I have often wondered why nobody has equaled him yet. You would think that someone could or should or would at least give it a try. In my book Gibran is the best.

Gibran´s stuff is just a tad too complex to make any objections about it. Simple at surface yet complex enough that it enters the world of multiple possibilites. Food for thought.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
