Mom and I are still getting ready for our move! Seems to me like it's taking way too long, but she says it just takes extra time when you're getting such a great place! Seems silly to me but then most human stuff seems silly to me!! Anyway, probably in another couple of weeks I can show you pics of my new castle and then it will be, So long, Mojo! Bye, Stella!! That will be a great day! But don't tell anyone I said that, I'm trying to be nice and proper, but it surely is hard!!!

Earth Hour ! Your Opportunity to Call Attention to Climate Change!

 

 Since 2007, one day a year has marked Earth Hour, during which folks across the globe shut off the lights and unplug for an hour to draw attention to energy overuse and climate change. 

This year, the Empire State Building, the London Eye, the Eiffel Tower, and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe will all go dark for Earth Hour, according to the event's.

 This year's event is now upon us: Earth Hour 2011 is tonight at 8:30 p.m. (local time).

What is a Grandparent?

If you are not a  grandparent, you will still love this. If you are, it  shows how precious the babies are and what grandparents mean to  them. 
WHAT IS A  GRANDPARENT?
(Taken from  papers written by a class of  8-year-olds)

Grandparents are a lady and a man  who have no little children of their own.  They  like other  people's. 

A grandfather is  a man, and a grandmother is a  lady! 

 Grandparents  don't have to do anything except be there when we come  to see them.They are so old they shouldn't play hard or  run. It is good if they drive us to the shops and give  us money. 

 When they take us for  walks, they slow down past things like pretty leaves and  caterpillars. 

 They show us and  talk to us about the colors of the flowers and also why  we shouldn't step on  'cracks.' 

 They don't say,  'Hurry up.'  

 Usually  grandmothers are fat but not too fat to tie your  shoes. 

 They wear glasses  and funny underwear.

They can take  their teeth and gums  out. 

 Grandparents don't have to be  smart. 

 They have to answer  questions like 'Why isn't God married?' and 'How come  dogs chase  cats?' 

 When they read  to us, they don't skip. They don't mind if we ask for  the same story over  again. 

 Everybody should  try to have a grandmother, especially if you don't have television because they are the only grownups who like  to spend time with have  us.   

They know we  should have snack time before bed time, and they say prayers with us and kiss us even when we've acted  bad. 

A  6-YEAR-OLD WAS ASKED WHERE HIS GRANDMA LIVED. ''OH,'' HE  SAID,

'SHE LIVES AT THE AIRPORT, AND WHEN WE WANT HER,  WE JUST GO GET HER. THEN WHEN WE'RE DONE HAVING HER VISIT, WE TAKE HER BACK TO  THEAIRPORT.'' 

GRANDPA  IS THE SMARTEST MAN ON EARTH! HE TEACHES ME GOOD THINGS,  BUT I DON'T GET TO SEE HIM ENOUGH TO GET AS SMART  AS HIM! 

It's  funny when they bend over; you hear gas leaks, and they  blame their  dog.

Humor to Start the Day!!

One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After 
the  cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I 
cannot accept money from  you, I'm doing community 
service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When 
the barber went to open his shop the next  morning, there 
was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at 
his door. 
 
  Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to 
pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept 
money from you , I'm doing community service this week.' 
The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when 
the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card 
and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door. 
 
Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he 
went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I can not 
accept money from you. I'm  doing community service this 
week.' The Congressman was very happy and left the shop. 
The next morning, when the barber went to open up,  there 
were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free 
haircut. 
 
And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental 
difference between the citizens of our country and the 
politicians who run it. 
 
  BOTH  POLITICIANS  AND  DIAPERS 
      NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN 
                           AND 
         FOR THE SAME REASON!

ABC Wednesday - J!

Got your dictionary out? You ready to play with the letters? It's that time again! ABC Wednesday is hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt and the ABC team: Denise, Annelie, Leslie, Nathalie, Joyce, Donna, Helen, Roger, Troy, Jay, Barb, Gattina and me! And guess what? It's that day again!

It's the J Day! Jump into my Jeep for the Journey -- no Jaywalking -- but let's Join the fun under the Jacaranda trees. We can play with the Jackrabbits and even the Jaguars and eat lots of Jambalaya while we enjoy the Jamboree! Oh, and bring your favorite Jam and Jelly for breakfast. Put on your best Jewelry and be ready to dance a Jolly Jig by the Jukebox! I'm Just being much too Juvenile today! Lets get get on with the Jolly J Day, I can dance a Jig tomorrow! And here are my J  Words for the day! J is for Jam and Jelly, Jeep, Jewelry, Jalapenos and Jar!

Things are busy here in Seattle as I prepare to move into my new home!! I'm very excited, but it can be nerve wracking at the same time.  I ran around the house, camera in hand, looking for J words before I went back to my moving agenda, so forgive my lack of creativity! At least I didn't call on -- well, you know who!! Hope you all have a fun day!

Oh, do I have some exciting news to share with you today!  Mom and I are getting our OWN APARTMENT!!!! And it's in the best place ever! Close to shopping for Mom and lots of places for us to walk!! It's on the 5th floor, has lots of windows and a great view of Mt. Rainier -- I'm not sure what that is, but Mom is really excited about it!! And there's garden space on the roof where we can grow some of our -- well, Moms favorites. She even has an office!! And Tai Chi classes and Yoga -- yeah, I don't know about any of that kind of stuff either, but I do know she has a really big smile on her face these days!!! The best of all is that I don't have to share my space now with Stella or Mojo!! Whooppeee!!!  I do love them, but because they're so much bigger than me they really do boss me around and I get tired of that!!!
