Sky Watch

There was an unusually large and interesting vapor trail across the sky one afternoon last week and you may have to click on the photo to enlarge it and see more detail. It reminded to of a big exclamation point! Maybe it was excited to have a blue background for a change! The skies that entire day were different than I had seen recently.
Join us along with the Sky Watch Team of Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy and Louise and share your skies with us! Just click click here,

That trail's a beauty for sure! I love to watch how they change and spread with the wind.

These are great photos. I really like the giant grey cloud!

Wanted to also let you know that your SWF icon isn't linked back to the SWF site.

Thanks so much for sharing your interesting skies!

Personally my favorite part is the flare off the sun in the last shot. But I can see the interest in the contrail even at this resolution. It almost looks solid (not hard, but solid)

I think I'll vote for No.2 - I had a feeling of looking on field cobered in snow.

Love the dramatic contrail in this shot! Terrific. Glad you have some blue skies poking through in all the dreariness.

Love them all, but especially the swooping gray creature above the gold.

Sylvia;

I loved the vapor trail ones...maybe it was mother nature asking you if you liked the blue sky!
The second photo caught my interest...liked it a lot but I always like your pictures!

Beautiful photos. Reminded me of Shelley's 'azure' sky-eulogies.

I've always loved vapour trails. Gets me thinking about where the plane is going and makes me itch to go somewhere new and exciting.

Dazzling sunlight. I always think the contrails should be sending me a message, but unfortunately it's one I've never deciphered.

Wonderful captures! Sorry to be visiting so late ... life's gotten away from me. By the way ... I loved the purple irises with the amazing quote in the reader that doesn't seem to be on your blog ;--)
