Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share the beauty of your skies! Sky Watch Friday! is graciously hosted by Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy and Louise! So click here to sign up and share with us the beauty of your skies!

It seemed that vapor trails were playing games again in the skies over Ballard (Seattle) this week. The first one you may have to click to embiggen to see what I'm talking about. It looked like a string of beads. And it disappeared in minutes.

The next two looked as though they were playing loop de loop.

As always, our blue spring skies serve as a lovely backdrop for the beauty here on the ground.

And then the sunset.

You did a fantastic job of capturing that vapor trail that looked like beads. I don't think I have ever seen one that looked like that.

Great photos, Sylvia.

Those are all wonderful shots but the string of beads was my favorite. So whimsical.

That first trail is really fanatastic: do you think it is polite to assume that the plane had probems with digestion? ;-)

The dogwoods are astoundingly tall, I don't remember ever seeing some as tall as yours. Beautiful!

Those are fascinating - such invisible goings on up there with the lofty winds!

Do you know I never think to photograph these things. Doh! Doesn't matter how long I've been a photographer you can still be inspired. Does look like wispy pearl necklaces in the sky.

Wow, I've never seen 'beads' on a vapour trail before. I think I like the second one best this week--such rich greens against a pretty blue, and the lovely gauzy flourish in the sky! I hope you have beautiful skies this weekend too Sylvia!

It looks like a string of pearls draped in the sky. They are all great shots.

so beautiful! Is that all dogwood? How wonderful! In NY I had a grafted tree - half white, half pink dogwood.

Great skies and trails. The first one makes me think of one side of a zip.

Very unusual. I don't think I've ever seen vapor trails do that.

It is interesting to watch those skyjets leaving their trail in the blue. The blooming tree makes a perfect company for your beautiful sky till sunset.

Magnificent sky views (as usual) ... love the beauty on the ground too.
