Shadow Shot Sunday!
Time to go over to Hey Harriet and see what kind of shadows people everywhere have found this week -- and I hope they've had better luck than I have!!! Ah, well, it's that time of year! Shadow Shot is hosted every week by Tracy at Hey Harriet. It's fun, it's addictive and you get really frustrated when there's no sun! So, click on the icon, sign up and have fun looking for shadows!
We have had NO sun this entire week, it's wet, it's cold and I had to work to find some shots you haven't already seen.
The Christmas Cactus was very happy a couple of weeks ago -- you wouldn't want to see photos of him today though, but here he is when he was happy!
And the African Violet found some rays!
Back to the good old kitchen!
Have a great Shadow Shot Sunday everyone!

I don't think I could ever tire of seeing your glass shadow shots! They are always beautiful!
Have a great weekend!
You always post the neatest shadows, I especially like the colored ones.
Your Christmas Cactus is wonderful!
Sunny :)
Lovely shadows as ever, Sylvia. I like them all but the glasses are wonderful!
What a lovely series. Looks you have a nice day, huh?
Have a Happy SS...
Pretty shadows. I love Christmas cactus, but I've never had any luck growing one.
I like your kitchen shadows and the Christmas cactus is magnificent in that first photo
The African Violet and wine glasses are the bomb. Well done my friend. Have a wonderful weekend :)
There are no bad shadows! The plants leave a complex shadow, and we love how the sun creates the different lighting looks. For the mundane kitchen, the wine goblets - that is a fantastic shadows. Lovely pictures, as always!
Lovely shadowshot and I like the last one best:-)
African Violet, here we call it "Paul in the eye":-)
Have a nice sunday!
great shots - especially that last one - looks like a great celebratory toast...
You take such fun photos!
That last shot was unique.
I don't think any of us here on the west coast will see much sun in the next week, not if the forcasts are correct. I won't complain if it means much needed rain.
In anticipation I have already gone to my archives to find shots for next shadow shot.
Happy SSS
I really like the last on of the glasses.
Wow, Sylvia! Your Christmas cactus is blooming a hundred times better than ours. It's gorgeous!
Great shadows as usual! I missed your pups!
Have a great weekend!
Beautiful shadows!

I think when we are desperately seeking shadows, that is when we find the most unusual, interesting ones! These are intriguing! And loved your story of the Christmas plant!
Ah! That's a Christmas Cactus? I used to have one of those - I loved it! Very pretty shadowy shot it makes too. The last photo of the glasses is my favourite though! Have a lovely weekend!
The Christmas Cactus is just super. The shadow shot of the wine glasses is my favorite.
Drinking from two glasses at once - how do you do it? Beautiful collection of shots, and I wish I had your success with Christmas cactus.
Love your plants, Sylvia. I have Christmas cactus in a pot too. You captured great shadow shots as always.
Have a good Sunday
My cactus was happy only upon arrival. potted plants just die on me.
You found terrific shadows! Love them all!
Gorgeous!!! My cactus is starting to bloom again...YIPPEE!!!
Delightful series! You never cease to amaze with your creativity in finding nifty shadows ... even when you have no sun. We're in for a TON of rain over the next week ... at the rate of 2-3 inches per day we could end up with 8-16 inches ... two -three times the amount of rain we had in total just last year! I can hardly wait ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
Your shadows are beautifull--and full of light!
Love the last shot of the wine glasses! I can't imagine your Christmas cactus not looking so good. He's thriving in this photo! Hopefully he'll bounce back when the weather improves. Wishing you lots of sunshine this week. Fingers crossed!
Sylvia, didn't you know that Christmas Cactuses need a break too!? :-) They've been active and supportive the darkest period of the year. Now they're tired and want to sleep... :)
Sylvia, have a gooooood week ahead!
Greetings from Cairo's morning!
Great shadow shots!!! Thanks for visiting my blog too!

Superb shots - especially the texture in that last one!
Let´s raise our glasses and drink some sunny vibrant shadows.
Beautiful flowers! I always love the colored shadows. Hope you're having a fun weekend!
Pretty shadows. I love the wine glass photo.
I really like that last shot :)
I love the glasses!!
Hi Sylvia - what would we do without glasses to give us lovely shadow shots!! Regards, Anne
a sad Christmas cactus would not be as pretty as site as this one. lovely photos as usual.
Excellent. I think the last one is my favorite shot, although they all have very cool shadows.
Plants make such beautiful shadows - I think it helps us "see" them ever more clearly.
Those are wonderful shadow photos! The Christmas cactus flowers are just plentiful fabulous!
Fabulous shadows! The Christmas cactus and African Violet have given you twice the blooms if you include the shadows! The colorful shadow from the drainer on the sink is so pretty! I especially love the shadow cast from the two glasses. That one is exquisite!
It's OK to go back to the kitchen...your drinking glasses leave the best shadows, Sylvia.
Your Christmas cactus looks good to me. Mine is so small.
I posted late again ~ so disorganized am I.
Have a nice week ahead!
Wonderful shadows, Sylvia and I very much enjoyed reading the quoted. especially the Sondreal one! Good advice!
Nice shadows, the last one I like in particular. Thanks for stopping by.
