Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us! Knowing you have to be as tired of my whining about the weather as I'm tired of listening to me, I have chosen some lovely reflections and wise words from ones much wiser than I!

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.
Socrates

The doors of wisdom are never shut.
Benjamin Franklin

Patience is the companion of wisdom.

OH !

I just love the curtain one !

The ornement on it is quite awesome byitself, but the idea of catching its shadows on the floor by a sunny day is simple perfect !

Using this criteria my dear you are a lock!

I love the curtain shot
it seems B&W yet there is a slight golden hue in the shadows

First off, I would like to say I love the header. A good picture to start the day. No, I am not sarcastic!

I love the photos. I don't know why but the third picture got me really drawn on it.

Great pics and quotes. Wisdom quotes make me nervous because I'm not sure that I have any. The last quote makes me real nervous because I don't have any patience either.

The bottom photo is my special favorite this week. So, where are the jokes?

Sylvia....This is one fabulous series of reflective shots. I agree with Bill that the first one is a grand capture. I think I have been following right behind you tonight as I am viewing all of the other people’s posts. Hope you, too, have a lovely weekend. Love your quotes.

Doors of wisdom might not be shut but sometimes they are wide open and sometimes only a narrow band of light comes through.

Very wise quotes today, Sylvia, to accompany your reflections. I agree Socrates and I especially like your last photo... it has some feminine mystery to it. And I DO hope you see some sun soon! :-)

The beautiful blue sky reflection (over the Benj. Franklin quote) is my favorite -- because I know how much a day like that means in the Seattle area! All stunning photos as always though -- and your quotes always stay with me!!

I like all three reflections but the last one speaks to me. It's kind of peaceful Zen.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
